Nate Barber, South State Bank


Nate Barber, senior vice president and community  development officer at South State Bank in Columbia, has been with the company for 13 years. 


He has an MBA from Indiana University and has served as an adjunct professor at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina as well as Shanghai International  Studies University and Nantong University in China.


A Rock Hill native, Barber earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry  from USC and then worked for several corporations including Milliken,  Lockheed, Alcoa and Merrill Lynch before joining the Small Business  Development Center at Winthrop University, where he also was an  assistant professor of business administration.

Tracy Frick, Esq.

Tracy M. Frick, Esq., is the founding partner of FrickTrentLizzio and hails from Old Beech Mountain, North Carolina. Tracy received her undergraduate degree from Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina and her Juris Doctor from Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia.  


While obtaining her undergraduate, Tracy worked with Hemphill & Gavenus, Attorneys at Law in Newland, North Carolina. During law school, Tracy served as a summer clerk at the North Carolina  Court of Appeals for the Honorable John M. Tyson.


Prior to opening FrickTrent, PLLC, Tracy managed the South Carolina office and served as Marketing Director for the North and South Carolina offices of Trey Inman & Associates, PC. Prior  to working with Trey Inman, Tracy practiced at a The Law Offices of Brent F. King, where she oversaw the residential real estate closings and marketing initiatives in South Carolina. Before deciding to limit her primary area of practice to real estate, Tracy  practiced family law with Melissa F. Brown, PLLC in Charleston, South Carolina. 

Jaimee' L. Bond, Esq.

aimee  Bond is the founding attorney of The Bond Law Firm, PC.  Jaimee moved  to Charlotte in 2002 after obtaining her Juris Doctor at Capital  University Law School in Columbus Ohio.  She began her legal career in  Real Estate and property law and has followed this field ever since.   With more than a decade of experience, Jaimee has become quite versed in  both residential and commercial property transactions and has  engendered diverse relationships within the Real Estate community of the  greater Charlotte area.  She is a member of the North Carolina State  Bar, North Carolina Bar Association, Mecklenburg County Bar, and Troop  Leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout Troop.  When not in the office,  Jaimee can be found (or not) exploring the outdoors or paddling her  canoe with her family.

Joetta Irving Talford

Joetta is the founder and current Broker-In-Charge of Talford Realty  International. Talford is likely the area’s most diverse agent. Having a  proficiency in art-marketing with a high aptitude in math and science, she is able to utilize all of these talents to help clients buy and sell with  creativity and efficiency. She was one of the top agents in her former office, and from the beginning, closed eight units of business in her  first eight weeks of her real estate career. In 2008, she was appointed to an agent leadership council, and was chosen to chair its Finance Committee. She is licensed in North & South Carolina.
 

Before beginning her real estate career in 2006, she opened her first  business (a graphic design studio) at the age of 22. It was there that she learned the fine art of providing top notch service to executive  clientele. During her tenure, she designed brochures for oil companies, large-scaled sporting events, as well as McDonald’s and Mayfield Ice Cream companies. She has an extensive background in media relations,  video production and editing for TV. 


She was also the first female &  the youngest African American periodical publisher in the Charlotte area in 1998, when she ran arts & entertainment magazine for four and a  half years, interviewing everyone from celebrities, local musicians,  actors, and athletes. She also hosted a radio show and two TV shows. 


Joetta has both her undergraduate and master's degrees from Winthrop University. She and her husband, author Matt D Talford, have been married for 24 years.
